360 Magnum
I am prepping to build a 360 Magnum for my 99 Dak. I may kep a stock stroke for sake of the NV3500 tranny. If it would handle it, I would drop a 4.00 into it. My question is, with polished chambers, and mild porting, what sort of comp would be likely if I went zero deck flatties and a MLS head gasket. :-) PCRMike

The polished chambers (And/or piston tops as well) will reduce the detonation but I would not exceed a reasonable limt and treat the combo as if I didn't. Your likely to run into octane issues (Not enuff) first before anything else.
(Of course a bigger cam can help out a bit. ) |

If memory serves me correctly. (which I may be wrong) but magnum motors were zero deck and had 9:1 compression.

They were dished though, and I think they are down in the hole .060, wren't they? :-) PCRMike
