4.7 computer

Anyone gotten the Mopar Performance Computer yet? I was wondering if it's worth the money? Any specs?

They aren't out for the 4.7s yet. The parts guru at my local Dodge dealership has explicit instructions to call me the very second he hears that they are available!

Since I work at a Chrysler dealer I checked into the PCM for the 4.7.
Mopar lists part number P5007196, for 4.7 engine, automatic trans, 2wd.
List price is $436.00
Dealer net is $257.00

There are 26 on order at this point, the system shows a Supplier Ship Commitment of 75 units on September 8th, 2000.

I only checked on the 2wd model, cuz that's what I have. Problem is, I have a 5 spd.
Called the tech line, they have nothing yet for the 5 spd. I told the guy to tell them that there's some 5 spd owners that are waiting.
He said, "but the model year isn't even over yet."

I sometimes wonder where they get the guy's that answer the phones at the tech line, oh well...

Yeah, the guy at my dealer here said he had no idea how long it would take to get one. The dealer price here is $480 cdn, but he said he'd let me have it for $430. My problem is I don't want to pay for something that I have to wait 6 months to get.

Anyone got any specs on it?
