can I use this msd ignition?
A used ignition came up for sale in my local area. Its an msd digital-6 plus pn 6520. like this http://www.teamc.com/browseproducts/...MSD-6520).HTML. Will this ignition work with a 74 360. I guess its got the sock points distributor now, but will be changed out later. If it wont, what do I need to make it work? like an electronic distributor?
What should I look out for when checking it out. Apparently the guy bought a car and this ignition was in the trunk. Is there any tests I can perform to make sure its good? |

You can use that on your car. I would get an electronic dist. though, so you want have to worry about points bouncing.

If you use a CD ignition MSN, Mallory, Jacobs...whatever you want...the contacts on your points will last waaayyyy longer. However they will still bounce, and the rubbing block still wears the same, but you don't have to worry about the contacts burning...JFYI

A '74 360 would already have an electronic distributor.
