Default Comp cams hydraulic lifters ...

I bought a comp cams xe268cam and hydraulic lifter kit for my 72 340.
At this point the cam is already installed and it's time to install the lifters but after researching a number of Mopar forums I'm not so sure about the cc lifters due to too many problems being reported about them ,mostly related to valve train noise.I've noticed that many have tried different approaches (headaches)to repair the problem with no avail and that they finally went to non-comp lifters to resolve the problem.I'm also aware that some report no problems with cc lifters.
I called the cc tech line and not surprisingly (what do you expect) the guy told me that they have had NO reports of noisy lifters .Only some cam problems due to using the wrong oil...
Since I do not want to gamble ,I leaning towards using a set of Mopar Perfomance lifters ;I have used them for years with no problems whatsoever.
Your comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, they seem to collapse after sitting, while five minutes of clatter isn't really bad................ It's kinda embarrassing.

I`m not sure about Mopar Performance, but most, if not all flat tappet lifters now are Johnson lifters, just in different boxes.
The XE cams are a fast ramp and are known to be a little noisey.

I found, lifters that have the pushrod type oiling hole in the cup tend to bleed off (while sitting, and at idle/lower oil pressures). At idle this may/can contribute to a poor vacuum signal for tuning and power brakes. I have since always used/reccommended Mopar.
