Bought a '97 v8 dakota a few months ago, and now that my warranty has gone by (figures), I get this low creaking sound/vibration when taking off from a stop. Sometimes bad, sometimes not so noticeable. Doesn't happen when cold. Any suggestions?

If you have 3.55 gears, the differential might be the problem. They are known to mainly cause a whining noise at around 45 mph also. These gears are cut funny, and there is no definite fix yet. This only applies to the 3.55s.

Problem solved, serviced the limited slip differential with an additive, working great now!
