Question

Hi folks, new to list. When going from drive to park there is a clunk in the rear-end. Is this normal? I have a 2001 QC with a 4.7 auto.

Thanks in advance
Bruce

Is it a loud clunk (like someone hitting a shovel onto a rock) or more of a popping noise? Either way, I'd have the dealer look at it since anything wrong should be covered under the warranty. BTW, thanks for joining up, I hope you'll like the board.

Just about every Dodge truck (with an auto tranny...) I've ever been in has this clunk. Mine's done it since I got her (16k miles) now she's got 95k with no drivetrain probs... save for a blown set of spider gears... damn wheelhop *grumble grumble*
