Default cam advance

My cam is 222/232 @50, 290/319 adv. 112 lsa. I want enough vacuum to keep my canister full. Advancing will give it more cylinder pressure I know, but what about vacuum? Or is it constant since the overlap is ground into the cam? The lobe centers are 107/117. Any help? My timing set has three keyways in the crank sprocket. Which one should I use?

The vacuum will increase.
But with the lobe centers you show, it is already advance 5 degrees.
Did you check it when you installed it see exactly where it is?

No I have not installed it yet. I am going to understand what I need to do before I remove on bolt. Already 5* advanced? How do you do the math?

With that cam, I wouldn't worry a bit.

With lsa of 112, as installed(if everything is keyed right), straight up is 112/112. So with 107/117 it is 5 degrees advanced.
Get a book on cams and study it!!!! It is educational, and may put your mind in a spin!!!

I am not sure what canister your talking about. But, I ran a large lunati cam in the mustang that was pulling about 9.5in vac. Powerbrakes sucked and this http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Cured the prob.

Not sure if thats what you need.
