Need help finding an old movie

I'll tell you what I remmeber, I was pretty young. (I think it is from the 80's)

There was a family, who moved, was taken, or something, to a place where every house was the same, kids all played the same games, all the balls bounced in rhythm? I remember the mom going to the store, and looking for "Meat", the store manager, or someone, showed her a bland colored can, that was, "meat"......
I can't remember if the people from this place ended up being robots, clones, or what, like I said, I don't think I was even 7 years old when I saw this.

Any help? (Driving me nuts)

I think it might be a British(Aussie???) film. I do remember it very vaguely also. I think it won or was nominated for an Academy Award for Foreign Film (which is why I would have seen it on our local PBS OSCAR Movie night). You won't have much luck searching most places for it, even with a title and release year. I've looked for 20 years for a Spanish OSCAR winning film with no success and I'm a memeber of the American Film Preservation Society. The movie industry is more cut-throat than the music industry is, and billions of recordings are "lost forever" every year. Master tapes of big-name acts are found in closets and storage units when artists die. We live in the disposable society.

Nope, I found a site and ran through them all, nothing likeit, but sure did remember a lot of them, like the episode where the creature is eating the plane engine?
The little aliens that were pissing the woman off til she killed one...... I miss them.

I really want to find this movie, I think the people of this place turned out to be androids, or something.... Geez,

Well, I have spent hours digging. I have reviewed almost every Twilight Zone ever made. I have Googled myself to death. If I find out this movie was a friggin' wet dream you had when you were a kid, I will drive the ol' Megacab to AK and beat you with one of your own fence posts and stuff a 318 up your arse.

try key words on you tube or any phrase that you remember from the movie. or you can google phrases related to the movie, like "in this place all meat is a can" or something like that. it has worked out very well for me when i try to find one of those movies i saw as a kid. And yeah, that stuff going around and around your head can drive you crazy.

It was creepy, but I don't remember the title. If I think of it I'll let you know.
Maybe you can help me with one, it had Elvis driving Imperials or Chryslers I don't remember which.
