I just bought a "new" truck, an 82 w150 lifted 6 inches, 35" tires etc... The stock 318 is tired. I probably will put in a 360, Although I'm considering rebuilding the 318. I'm looking for 350 hp, 400 to 450 torque to properly motivate this beast. I want to build the motor on the cheap. What I am looking for is suggestions for intakes, carbs, cam lift and durations, Compression ratios, header tube lengths and sizes, head cc's, valve sizes, etc. Basically, I know a lot of you guys have spent a lot of time and money experimenting to find the best combination, and I would like to avoid this by asking first! The motor I envision will run pump gas, no more than 93 octane, be dailey driven, and needs to make good hp and torque in the 2000 to 4500 rpm range, peaking at no more than 5500.
Thanks in advance...

Yamarocket, I would figure that an 82 would be a prime candidate for the Magnum 380HP crate motor. That would most likely be cheaper than a complete rebuild by the time all was said and done.
