Schumacher Creative Services,2025 NE 123rd. Seattle,Washington 98125 (206)364-7151 They have spool mount kits to put that 440 right in place.B-body headers will also work too,But I understand that one of the pipes on the right hand side may have to be lengthened about 2 inches, this is some old info about the headers that I have when I contemplated this same swap 10 years ago,so there may be a header out now that will fit.But the Schumacher kit info is current.

A friend of mine did a 440 /Aspen swap a few years ago although he did it for the strip. He just used or rather made some elephant ears for the front(motor plate). He also used the stock transmission mountin its original location.
The only wierd things that he ran into were that the heater blower had to be removed because it stuck into the passenger side valve cover and the throttle cable had to be moved up because it stuck into the driver side valve cover. Good luck! |
