Welcome to the board.

On the passenger side of the block just above the pan gasket you'll find a machined flat, the partial VIN stamped there should match the VIN on the dash and the decal on the drivers door.

On the passenger side of the transmission main case there is a raised boss, the same partial VIN is stamped there.

The fender tag near the battery should have the same partial VIN info as the dash tag.

For a reasonable price, Galen Glover can decode your fender tag and see if it matches the VIN number, and he has production records of most MOPARs of this era. On some models, he can work backwards and tell you the serial number of the engine, tranny, rear-end put into a true numbers matching car. FYI: There are people out there making phoney VIN# tags and fender tags to up the value of a car. If you "know" the car, you might want it confirmed for valuation and insurance.

Galen is the biggest rip off, when it comes to MOPARs. Unless you have a high dollar vehicle that you want verified, he is over priced.

Believe it or not, I used to defend him and recommend him. Then he showed me his true colors. Ever since, I would not recommend him to anyone.

First off, this is a 1970. That being the case, the VIN is on both, the VIN tag and the fender tag. The VIN will also be on the engine and tranny. Galen has NO production records for 1970 and he is unable to get them, as Chrysler doesn't have them.
