Default 72 Duster

I am planing on putting a rack & pinion on my duster, but never have done this, what do I need, and can I get it from a junk yard.

I have no doubt there are kits available to do this conversion, however I don't think you'll find a complete set-up in a junkyard...

You may well find usable parts there, but you'll first need to plan what sort of rack and pinion and how you'll mount it.

There doesn't seem to be much on this forum about A-body conversions, a lot more of that on the Australian MoparMarket forum, where A-body are the main cars discussed and rack and pinion steering is more plentiful and accepted... not to mention that the original steering isn't as good as the US models enjoyed.

Check out speedway, they don't have the exact kit, but with a welder and an imagination anything is doable... A lot of mud racing rails go with the pinto stuff if that helps anything....
