Question

I just ordered a 6# powerdyne s/c and a MSD BTM unit for my 00 R/T. My question is can I use my mopar pcm with it or will I have to put my stocker back in? I'm new to the wonderful world of superchargers and EFI performance ( just a good ol' carb boy at heart ) so any advice or technical info would be a big help.

Other mods I have already done include 180 thermostat, gibson stainles headers, flowmaster cat back system 3in outlet

From what i have heard, some people can get away with it and some cant. I was gonna order one to try it out but decided not too, it pings bad enough as is. One other thing you might want to do is go to a colder plug, autolite 3923's or 22's and gap them at about .040 or .045, dont go by the gapping chart in the msd manual, there are some other things you might want to know about the powerdyne, feel free to e-mail me.

I saw an article several years ago in which the stock computer ran better all around with a S/C, more power and better drivability.

Just found a conflicting article which showed a .4sec drop and+2mph with a MOPAR PCM and MSD 6BTM used to control advance. I guess maybe the computer without the advance control was the problem. In short, I guess the MOPAR computer with MSD is the way to go, so it looks like you are just waiting on the S/C to show up

Be careful doing that, advances timing 12 degrees, so you will have to pull a lot more timing out. It may even out. i dont have to pull any timing out now that i have the 24's. I was gonna get the mike leach ati program, but it was $500 bucks and the injectors did the trick. Just listen for pinging. I am still running the stock comp, and turning excellent times. There was a guy where i race with the leach program, shifting at 5500, running the same charger as me and more extensive mods, and he couldnt break 13.90, and i was running 7/10's faster. before, you go putting the stock comp, back on,the 00's already have 24's, so try it out. But be VERY careful with pinging, make sure you listen for it carefully. Hope this was any help.
