Default Oil Pan

I have a 74 dodge Dart and put a High Volume Oil pump in and unfortunately it cracked my pan. i was wondering if any one knows of any pans makers that might be deeper to add some height clearance for the oil pump?

Take a ballpeen hammer and dimple the pan where it is hitting. It normally isn't much.

How did it crack the pan?!?

As far as getting a pan with a kickout on the side, I don't think I've seen one, but you might check with Summit or PAW.

The HI-Vol. pumps are taller and hit the pan. You can not tighten the pan up without an issue. I been there done that as well.

What I did was exactly described above for the fix! Hammer the area out somemore nad for the crack.... or the area the pump broke through I used JB Weld and never had an issue since.

Weird ..I never had this problem when I ran a hv pump in a stock pan'd 318 & 340, I don't now days, especially on the street it's a waste of hp.

If a melling hv for a SB MOPAR is taller in way as to hit the stock pan it's news to me.
