Default how much hp will a 727 handle?

how much hp will a 727 handle? this is going behind my 340 with about 495 to 525 hp.i have a 4800 stall conv.

It depends on what level it was built to and who built it. Buil right it can hold in excess of 1,000 hp.

Default They handled

The Hemis from the factory very well. You should be OK, with the right parts and a safety blanket. The planetary should be a forged unit, the clutches and bands should be carbon composite. They sure work well in the Cummins.
