Default TF 727 Teflon Sealing Rings

Hi everyone,
again a 727 question.
Does anyone has experience with the teflon sealing rings instead of the steel rings?
In my gasked kit, there is also the teflon ring kit included. There are all rings for the shafts and also for the servos included to replace all the steel rings!

But compared to the steel rings they are so soft and they "dissapear" in their grooves so I can not imagine, that they really will seal!

What are your experience? Do these rings work great or should I reinstall my steel rings?

Thanks again,
jakob

I reuse the iron rings if they are in good shape, I'm afraid to use the teflon sealing rings also, Paul.

I run the teflon rings in the servos without any problem. It's the oil pressure against the seal as much as it is the seal itself that does the sealing, and the teflon almost eliminates the wear factor. I did'nt get any for the shafts in my kit or I would have also used them there.

The sealing rings in the trans work much like piston rings, as aarracer noted, the pressure behind the rings forces them against the cylinder bore.

I have noticed that the plastic rings seem to seal better when performing an air test after assembly, noticeably less air leakage.

Thanks a lot,

I think I will try the teflon rings and will make the air test with both types of rings...
