Does anyone know if it is normal for the bed and the cab to not line up properly on a 1993 cc Dakota. The drivers side is perfect but the passenger side is about 1" narrower than the cab. I just want to know if its some defect and if there is something that can be done about it

It's not normal.

Did you buy the truck new?

If not, then somewhere in it's life it was probably in some sort of accident.

I would run a check on it right away. Sounds like an accident may have caused that.
