318 4 barrel intake
well i took the intake off of my 1987 power ram so i could get rid of the 2 barrel carb on my power wagon and replace it with the quadrajet, well beside the plantlife growing in the grooves of the rams intake it was all kind dirty when i flipped it over i found a small 22 gauge plate riveted on and the corner is bent on it and there is a TON of gunk how do i get that plate off and is it possible?

W/ a chisel, they're pressed in, and when putting them back in you can use a punch to close up the holes a lil as to hold them in again when popping'em back in.

IIRC, they actually have sort of a very coarse thread, so when you use the chisel, hit it in such a way so as to "unscrew" it. And you WILL find lots of coked-up gunk - hot tank is about the only way to clean them thoroughly.
