Default problems with 727

took the dart down the 1/4 and the manual valve body transmission suffered from "overrun" on the 2-3 shift, any tips or suggestions on this?

Shifting from 2. to 3. The front band loosens and hte dierct clutch engages, these must synchronize. So, I would try adjusting the front band, tighten it first 1/2 turns a time until you see a change to better or worse, and find the correct adjustment that way.

Several posibilities.
Front clutch seal bad, clutches shot. Tire spin??
Regardless of the 2nd gear band adjustment the front clutch should still hold.
