Default shifty

hey guys it's me again, how bad is it to run a 727 without the kickdown attached, i ran mine for around 1500 miles manually shifting it most of the time, i put the k.d. on the other day and like how the tranny acts much better it seems just fine, shifts good ,although there is a little delay from 2nd to drive, s'pose i can trust this tranny or should i get a rebuild.

Well it's not good unless the valve body is setup for it.

You could take it in for adjustment, 50/50 shot.

The 2-3 delay is probably just linkage adjustment, shorten the linkage for earlier shifts.

The amount of damage done by running without throttle pressure linkage depends a lot on how hard you flogged it, time will tell.
