I plan on getting a posi installed on my Y2K Dakota, and since things are going to be opened up I figure I should get gears done at the same time.
I was wondering if there is a noticeable difference in gas mileage between the 3.55's and 3.92's, and if the gains in acceleration would be worth the $$$. I was also wondering how many tenths in the 1/4 mile they should be good for? BTW my Dak is a 4.7 automatic. |

The difference from a 3.55 open diff. to a 3.92 posi is like night and day. Maybe even consider going to a 4.10. Don't worry about gas milage, the OD will save you there.
