In checking with WalMart at two different stores, they both tell me that they do not cary Mopar ATF+4. Anybody know when I can purchase ATF+4 besides a Chrysler dealer.
Thanks |

Welcome to the board VDShehi.
The Mopar brand ATF+4 isn't the only brand available, Valvoline has it and Pennzoil/Quaker State recently made it available. |

+3 OR +4 is uneeded in a 727. Dex 3 will work just fine and is far cheaper then +3 & +4. which is $4 to $5 a quart.

Atf+4
As my truck tranmission is still under warranty, I really want to stick with the Mopar product. I read where a lot of the ATF+ 4 is compatable but not certified byChrysler. Pay the $8.00 a qt and keep on trucking.

The dealer can't refuse a warranty claim because you didn't use their brand of products, The Magnuson Moss Act of 1975 prohibits it.
As long as the container is labeled ATF+4, the brand name is irrelevant; it is suitable for use in Mopar transmissions that require it. |

1qt bottle Valvoline ATF+4 is part #VV346 and is officially licensed and
Chrysler approved. ATF+4 replaces ATF+3. Any autoparts store that carries Valvoline can get this product. |

you can get atf 4 in various brands at any local parts store such as advance oreilly or autozone, i know the oreilly and advance hear carries the mopar brand, and besides how would they exactly what brand tranny fluid you had in it if you ever had to take it in for a warranty claim?? i doubt they would take a sample to a lab, and analize it to see what brand it is..

At the end of the day, Chrysler does not and can not dictate what brand you use. They can only dictate the type. In this case, that is ATF+4
