will a 5.9 K&N fit on a 3.9?

does anyone why K&N doesnt make the filter charger for the 2000 3.9? they make them for the later model 3.9.s why wont they fit mine? and does anyone know if the one for the 5.9 will fit the 3.9?

I know the 97-99 K&N kits fit the 3.9, I'm sure the same is true for the '00s. The 3.9, 5.2, 5.9 all share the same air hat and stock intake.

thanks guys, i went by the dealer today and just for grins i checked it out. the part numbers are the same for the 3.9 and the 5.9.
