Cams & Valve Springs
Would dual valve springs raise the redline rpm on a given cam?

Use the springs recommended for our cam.. If the cam doesn't need the pressures of the dual springs don't use them. Cams are made to work in XXX RPM range there is no sence n reving past this range. You will go no place fast and shorten the life of the engine.
It is not cheap to install dual springs either. The heads have to have the spring seats machined to accommadate the inner spring, it isn't just a R&R type thing. |

I agree, def. run the springs recommended for the camshaft, have too much spring could cause cam, lifter or pushrod failure easily, and also having too little pressure could cause damage in other ways that would be just as bad. What kind of camshaft do you have? What brand?
