Default 451 cam In a C body?

Hey fellas, just hoping to gain some advice
building this combo, and have read a bit Re cams for this set up...not sure which cam would work best,
400 block
3.75 stroke
440 rods
KB pistons
stealth heads
3.23 rear end
2200 stall
comp will be 10.5:1
Headers
RPM intake
750 Vac sec holley
car is a street car, all over by 6000rpm.
Any one built one of these motors for a heavy car and can recommend a Cam for this combo.
Many Thanks in advance
KD

The weight, gear ratio and stall speed dictate, that you don't want a lot fo cam with that combo. On the other hand, your CR is pretty healthy, and that makes the low end better even with a bigger cam. Actually, all the C-bodies aren't much heavier than B-bodies, so the actual car and weight also affects the choice. I also assume that you intend to use a hydraulic flat tappet cam. On a heavier car (loaded Chrysler or a newer C-body) I would choose this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-21-227-4/ If the car is one of the lighter C-bodies, I woulkd pick one step bigger: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-21-228-4/ Both should work with the stock stealth springs and stuff. To meet that seems like a pretty decent package overall.

451 reacts a bit differently to a cam than the short stroke 383. I have used the XE275HL in a 2.7 geared 440 '68 Charger with an 11" converter, and it worked great. To my taste the cam was even a bit too docile, and it had slightly less CR, around 9.9:1.
