They are supposedly Edelbrock Victor copies, but the quality is more questionable. The price isn't bad though, however port prep and fixing things may take it close to what Victors and good rockers to them cost. It's a well performing head design.

Takes some searching of the below site, but there is head data on all Chrysler Big Block Heads, including ProComp

Hit CNTRL Home on your keyboard to go to the top of the file, and get an explanation of what all the numbers mean!

You get the flow and horsepower potential of each head, for a given valve lift!

Iv`e heard of quality issues also.
My machinist told me about a number of valve seats falling out, taking the engine with it.

Maybe Indy SR heads would be a better choice. They're proven. A little more money but if your like me you can only afford to do it once.

yeah and i saw an article in mopar muscle magazine a while back for the amsoil mopar engine challenge, and on a stock stroke 440, they made over 600 hp with the sr cnc ported heads, i can't find much info online about indy heads and pricing, i found a site for indy but it don't have much on it, i'm also looking at a set of used 440-1 heads

Here's a 6 year old article on the 600hp engine.

Indy price sheets

The Indy catalog has all of the specs that you are looking for. It would be great if they were on the website instead of being in a .pdf catalog.

thats not the article, this one was a magazine i had bought last summer, and that link is a 541ci engine...
with a comp roller cam, indy sr cnc ported heads, indy tunnel ram with twin demon carbs and a few other things, they made over 600 think it was close to 700 horsepower, with a 440ci engine, on pump gas, i just wonder what i can make with them heads or better ones with a roller cam, on alcohol, or race gas with a 500 inch stroker...

You are correct. That is why I stated its age. Just search the heck out of their website. You might find the article.

I stopped reading the engine shootout articles. I am one of the many that got tired of them wasting so many pages on the same stuff, year after year.

Here is another 542 on pump gas, making 625hp, with Indy heads. It is from July of 2006.

i found one of my magazines, it was 758 hp with a stock stroke 440, bored 60over with indy sr cnc ported heads, with a 440, not a stroker, now that's darn good

More pro-comp discussion. For what it`s worth.
