cracked cam bearings
I found three cracked cam bearings in my 318 today, does this mean I have a cracked block? I just bought this and brought it home today.

It doesn't mean it is, but it sure could be. The only way to tell for sure is to magnaflux the block. Something you should do anyways.

I would check
To assure that they were installed correctly for oiling.

Some cam bearings do have a seam where the ends meet. Some have a interlocking tab at the seam. Some are one piece. I did have a 360 that was cracked, center cam bearing bore, right under the intake. 58,000 mile engine that was never apart. Could see it plain as day after block was hot tanked.
