I'm using a Just Suspension manual conversion on my '64 Dodge. It stops world's better and the set-up I have fits with 14" wheels. I do think the Wilwood would be a better kit though. To be economical and for future ease of parts procurement it's not hard to do a swap over from a later model Mopar.

Not for performance or racing. OEM brakes have a built in drag to keep teh rotors clean of road debrie and will slow the car somewhat. I know many stock class drivers that have gone to drum brakes for less drag and and where after market disc brakes are not legal.

The disc brakes are not designed to drag at all, they do have to run close otherwise because of the piston size the brake pedal would be very low. In a class where they don't need to use brakes drums can be backed off but disc's have less weight and are more efficient and can be used repeatedly.

Never seen a set of OEM discs yet that didn't have slight drag. Disc brake systems also have no return springs like the drums do so as soon as there is enough pressure released on release of the disc the retraction will stop. this will also stop retracting while still slightly dragging on the rotor. Even been articles written that if using OEM disc systems to use a slightly loose wheel bearing preload adjustment to give very slight front end play to open up the caliper for less drag. I would not recommend this but it works.
Not only the drag that they have they are heavier than drums.

Disc brakes do drag alittle normally, but a trick is to resurface the rotor with more run out. This pushes the piston back in enough to eliminate almost all of the drag.

Of course your pedal is gonna be lower because of the added distance the caliper pistons have to travel. And when you get too much run out the calipers make lots of noise from sliding back and forth.

The link I provided about the Answers To 25 Post Count Questions indicated, in the last sentence, that posts obviously intended only to rack up the count would likely be pruned. The 25 post count requirement is there for a reason and to try to beat it with fluffy posts in a short time will not work.

New members continually posting in several threads a few minutes apart is an obvious clue.
