Default valve lift formula?

whats the formula to calculate valve lift from the measurement of the cam lobe lift?? isn't it lobe lift times rocker ratio divided by something?? i tried to goodle it, but only thing i can find is calculators that you put the info into, i need the formula so i can do calculations on the fly, and not have to run back to my computer, also is there a way to measure duration and overlap
