bodyweight and camshaft?
my motor i'm putting in my roadrunner was built for a lighter weight car, what is the disadvantages as far as the camshaft being matched up for a dart which is what about 400 or so lbs lighter? it was built for a 72 dart with 391 gears and a 4000 stall with a 727 tranny. think it may help if i go with more gears, or more or less stall?

The weight shouldn't matter much, if you compensate it with gears. This all depends of what you are aiming at, it really doesn't necessarily need any more converter or egar than the same engine in the Drat. However, if you are willing to optimize it for 1/4 mile performance, then it needs more gear than the Dart with less weight. The engine remains the same, but you have to have more gear to reach the same rpm in the 1/4 with more weight. It should work just fine with a similar drivetrain that was intended for the dart.

awesome, being it was intended for a 391-411 for the dart, what would be reccommended for the roadrunner? i got some 456 in the shed.
