wiring msd distrib to hei

i'm running an msd distribitor, and running my stock electronic ignition, so what wires do i splice together for the distribitor??

meant to say color to color from stock to the msd?

Hook it up with splices that are easy to change. Run it one way and check the timing with a light... Then hook it the other way and check the timing, which ever way gives the most advance is the correct way...

it won't fry anything if i hook it up backwards will it?? i can remember this one time before we burnt something up by hooking it up backwards, think it was a coil we burnt up by hooking something up wrong.

the distribitor has a black wire with a tan tracer, and a black wire with purple tracer, was thinking the one with the tan tracer would maybe hook up to the tan distribitor wire?? think the other is grey on a stock mopar??

No you won't hurt anything at the distributor end, and it will run either way, just not very good, if backwards...
