Manual brake master cylinder pushrod removal
I'm replacing the brake master cylinder on my 71 Cuda and I need to remover the pushrod from the old one since the replacement came without. Is there a trick to it or just give it a good yank, I don't want to damage it.

If you have a floor jack, remove the pad and push end of the pushrod into the pad hole. Place a long screwdriver or bar under the jack chassis and through the pushrod eye, pump the jack up.

Thanks John
I ended up using a bench vice but the same idea. Worked like a charm. |

I losen the four bolts that hold the master to the firewall, then I push the brake pedal so it pushes the master out, then I shove something that fits in between the master and firewall and I then pull on the brake pedal to dislodge the rod from the master. Basically it is a rubber piece that gets rusted in there and it wants to stay
