Electric Choke
I 've just bought an Edelbrock thunder avs for my GTX. It has the electric choke. Where is the best place to hook up the hot wire from the electric choke?
Would the starter relay on the firewall work? Which wire? I am having a hard time figuring out the wiring diagram in the manual. Thanks in Advance |

I would say to the ignition switch so its only hot when the ignition is on.

No, the starter relay will not work. Coils + terminal or ballast resistors "in" side should be fine.

Fyi
The electric choke is opened by the 12 volts from the ignition run position. It heats the choke spring, gradually releasing the choke butterfly.

Yes, I am looking for a good ignition controlled switch that I can connect to.

Hook it to the double blue wire on the ballast resistor, it's hot in the RUN position.

Got It!
Just fired her up. Used the double blue wire into the ballast resistor. Thanks JK.
