Default Throttle linkage HELP PLEASE!

I have a Holley 750 on an Edelbrock RPM intake in a 440 Challenger. I have the throttle extension needed for the Mopar linkage but nothing lines up. The carb sits much higher than the factory carb. The throttle cable has to go up at a crazy angle and the kickdown linkage points up so much the Air breather won't go on. I hope someone out there knows how to fix this. What can I do?

There's spacers you can buy to raise the air breather, or you can get a breather with more clearance at ramairbox.com.
Basically you have to keep foolin with it! I had a single plane that I had to have a shop mil 3/8 inch off the top to fit under the hood!
I also had to modify the hood just over the air cleaner.
You may have to get a longer throttle cable.
Your setup is common, so don't worry, its doable!
Time to improvise!!!

Also, Summit has diff throttle brackets. Here's an example:

I modified the throttle/kick down mount, to mount up higher. Cut weld and spacers on the bolts to get to cable/kick down close to level. I know it can be a pain in the ass to get it to work right... I have a pile of old levers and linkages for when I have to do this. I'm sure someone must make a kit to do this more easy...

Add a reverse manual valve body to your tranny, and you can ditch all the kickdown linkage.

Get some 5/16 rod from Home depot and a 5/16-24 die and do up another top linkage rod, up and level off, heat and hammer the end to make the tight turn into the pivot piece.

Or go to Bouchillon or Lokar for cable kickdown and throttle linkage mods. (I have a 10 year old Lokar, but understand Bouchillon is Mopar-specific, which Lokar is not)
