Screaching noise at timing cover
I am just finishing restoring as 69 Charger. I had a quality shop machine and assemble a 440 with a comp cam full roller assembly. I started the engine and it sounds real tough, I love it. The problem I have is after it reaches operating temperature at 800 to 900 and 1200 - 1400 rpm I get a very bad screaching sound which we have pin pointed to left side of the center point on the timing cover. I have not pulled the cover yet, but was woundering if this could be caused from the cam button not being shimmed properly or installed properly. Any help would be appriciated.

Or maybe there is no thrust button at all and the cam bolt(s) rub the cover.
