Question

Could someone tell me the difference in thickness,to get the pulleys to line up, I'm a couple days away from assembling this motor and would like to get my moroso crank pulley machined to line up with the others.. THANKS for the help!

I can't tell you about the Fliuddamper yet, but on the ATI Superdamper, it looks to be about 5/8". I just took the first look at the alignment tonight and will be much more in-depth tomorrow. I have the March setup on this one and can't mill to match. Let me know about the numbers you came up with. I have a Fluiddamper to install yet on one of my own engines and could use the head start.

We are looking into finding another water pump pulley to help make up this offset. I usually use a water pump pulley off of a mid '60's Chevy pickup w/inline 6. The pulley is larger than the stock Mopar and has the same back spacing.

looks like the difference w/ the fluiddampner is .495-.500", the best I can tell. I'm gonna have my moroso #64700, $40 underdrive milled to work, sounds easey enough..-------74 Dart Sport--1.75 60ft. 7.70 1/8th, 90mph---340 w/ crossram.

We had to dig out the old stuff to fix our problem. I once used a 3/4" bolt, fine thread, of the proper length. I then bought a pulley with a 5/8" inside diameter and had it turned out to 3/4". The pulley is a common style steel pulley for electric motors and such. It comes with a key way and set screw. I then used bushing stock to make up the proper offset. The best way to measure the offset is with a carpenter's square. Place the inside of the square down in the water pump pulley. Rotate the pulley to get the square over the crank hole and measure from some reference point. The rest is simple math. I used this setup to underdrive my power steering on my stock car. It worked flawlessly.
