Default Master cylinder swap questions

I am planning on swapping the Raybestos MC39178 on my hydroboost system with Dorman MC from a Ram truck. The Raybestos unit has a 1.0625 diameter piston, and the hydroboost simple overpowers the system and makes it WAY too touchy! I was hoping to increase the pedal effort and get a tall pedal in the trade, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried this? the Dorman MC has a 1.25 diameter piston so it will move more fluid quicker and matches up to the disk front drum rear format of my 69 charger just fine. The only hickup is the switch to metric brake line fittings, I haven't checked yet, but does anyone know what size brake line tubing Dodge Ram pickups run? Would the metric fittings be compatible with imperial brake tubing? Just testing the water here, I could always modify metric fittings on the lathe at work if I need to. Have you guys tried this backwards MC swap?
