Get an AFR meter. It might be loading up.

Get a really good tune on it.

Welcome!

thanks for your replies. my carb is only 4 years old and im not sure if its the right size . its a 950 holley. i tried a calculater for carbs and it said i need a 721. what is a good way to find out what size i need. the calculater i used asked for max rpm and ci. i want to make sure my carb is not to big before i put the work into it. thanks guys.

What is the motor, cam, intake, heads, and other notes, what is the car and the transmission and rear end and gears. All these items work together, cam size vs gear ratio vs cars weight will help decide what carb is needed. Give the details and you will get more help than you could need.
