360 Flywheel
Didn't want to derail the other thread. Am I right in assuming the older truck flywheels and the car flywheels are different sizes?
I have one from a '77 3/4 ton I would like to sell. I expect it will not work in a car application. Appreciate any info. Thanks. |

A 360 truck would have an 11" clutch with a 143 tooth flywheel, a passenger car would have a 10.5" clutch with a 130 tooth flywhel.

so does the 11" have a larger bell housing or different starter location?I have both but never looked that close at them.

I have only the truck stuff so I can't say but I think with a bigger flywheel, the bells would be different. The same starter will work on both.

Thanks John, I thought there was a difference but didn't know the specifics. |
