After having panels media blasted, what's the proper techique for etching? Is it always necessary before an epoxy prime?

Yes, you should shoot a self-etching primer over any bare metal before you shoot primer. Self-etch is a conversion coating that gives the best protection against corrosion. It
generally is a 1-shot application over bare metal only. -Jeb

Question

Would you consider PPG DP90 a self-etching primer? Thanks.
