Will a quadrajet fit intake cast #3671918AE
I scored an intake at a local yard, casting # 3671918AE date-73' Goin on my 360.
Has egr jets or airbleeds at the bottom of the plane, i screwed one up, ill probably weld it closed. Anyways was wondering if a quadrajet would fit without the secondary's rubbing. Just because those are easier to come across than a holley that fits on the adaptor bolted to it. Thanks..... |

yeah as long as it's a spreadbore intake, but why not just go with a thermoquad?

I might, really just comes down to what I get ahold of first! Just looking at what will work. Junkyards are full of chevys (with quadra's) around here....

I ran a QJ for quite some time on a 340 "back then." The 340 was a very low miles junker, and the TQ had numerous problems, including the horrid "warp" problem they had, and I do not mean "warp speed."
Especially back in the early-mid 70's, QJ's were easy to come by used/ cheap, and the TQ's were not. |

In the mid-eighties many Mopars came from the factory with Quadrajets.

I'd forgotten that, John. Also, Carter made some QJ's evidently under some contract to Rochester. This used to occasionally throw both mechanics and parts guys "for a loop."
