I recently swapped a 300 HP version in place of my 318 in my 72 Charger. Everything worked ok, but I did have a little interference with the alternator and the head, but it was no problem. The factory linkages from the 318 worked, but you will need to bend the mounting tabs on the brackets to 90° for the new intake bolts. Mopar Performance sells the brackets for the new intake bolts, but why waste the cash? If you are going from a 2bbl carb to the 4bbl on the 360 Magnum, you may need to find and swap the kick down and throttle cable from a 4bbl, small block car. I just modified mine to fit, and tossed the kick down, since my TCI 727 is a manual anyway. If you have A/C, I don't think the single plane intake on the 380 HP version has the provision for the rear compressor brace, but the 300 HP single plane does. If you run a dual feed Holley (which I recommend) and you use the typical chrome fuel line, it will interfere with this brace anyway. Also, the 360 Magnum is balanced differently than the 318, or the old LA 360, for that matter. The easiest way to overcome this, is to knock whatever weights are on your old converter, and order Mopar Performance's P/N P5249843 weight kit and weld them on, per the template in the kit. B&M makes a pre balanced flexplate, but the weight kit is only around $6 and 5 minutes welding time. The 318 exhaust will work, but if you want the most from your 360, go with 1 7/8" primary headers and full duals. You will also need a driverside motor mount bracket from a any 340 or 360 in your body style. Since I don't know what body you are using, (A,B,E body, or truck) I can't say which one you need. If you are using a A,B,E,C or F body, you will need the correct brakets. These can be bought new from Schumacher Creative Services, (206)364-7151. If you are swapping it into a truck, you can get the mounts at the local dealer. Any more questions?

I have heard of people modifying the trans to use the original push button setup, but I thinnk you lose the park function. Also, I think (but not sure) that the cases are externally different, and the later 727 may not have the mounting bosses for the push button linkage. I have never actually worked on a push button setup, and all my books are pretty much 67 and up, so I'm not much help on this one. Anyone else, guys?

40 Coupe yes you can bolt it up you will need the proper flywheel for the 360 though which is weighted.

The park break operates off a sperate cable
on one with a park so I had thought of hooking it up to the E-brake pedal so that
when depressed it would place it park and set
the breaks that are also being updated on the rear instead of on the trany tail stock although I'm not real familar yet with the pb trans so I'm not real sure if it can be done
