For 1969 - 383 HIPO (4bbl) is Street Hemi Orange. 383 2bbl is Turquoise.

In '69 only, your A/C equipped 383HP motors were painted blue.

Nope, not all for '69. I found out by questioning a one-owner '69 'runner with a/c at a Mopar show. The owner carries a copy of the B-body restoration manual with him and has the engine section highlighted because he gets critiqued all the time. There's even an explanation in the B-body manual as to why 383HP engines with A/C were blue for '69, but I don't remember what it is.

As long as were talking about engine colors I have a question. My 69 Sport Satellite has a 318 w/ A/C. The block appears to be a street hemi orange. I have yet to see another satellite (sports included) with the orange block. Was this block once red or has it been repainted?

Many thanks,
Chris

Probably repainted. I would say the engine was originally blue.
