Holley carb ?
what it the reason for installing a powervalve plug? i'm working on tuning my holley 750 dbl pumper and have some sluggish hesitation off the line/flat foot then it wakes up! wonder if power valve has anything to do with it? or just need bigger accel pump nozzles? its in my 440/727 mud truck 4.10 gears 37" tires

Not a question of bigger acc pump nozzles. But probably the acc pumps are not putting out. Could be it's the secondary. When the secondary throttle plate opens, it needs a big shot of fuel, and it's not getting it.

Number of possible issues: could be fuel sloshing out the vent tube creating a rich condition for a second, could be uncovering the PVCR on the back side (why most carbs don't use a powervalve on the secondary side), or could be the accelerator shot needs to be tuned.
