Question

im running a tunnel ram on my 440c.i. ive got no linkage to the carbs.what ive done is put a cable on the dash so i can keep the throttle presure at the same spot.(more consitant shift points)plus i can change when it goes in to third gear.when i got the trany it hade a peice of wire holding the lever back so i asumed they were doing the same thing. ive heared of racers doing this in the late 60's has anyone done this? or heard of it done before???mopar or or no car see mine at www.hometown.aol.com/graffbcc3/mystudindex.html

Thumbs up

Morpower - Car looks great. I've got a 1940 Plymouth which ran a 440 tunnel ram for years. I ran the 3 piece swivelling kickdown linkage and the hookup was relatively painless. Wide open throttle - wide open kickdown. Also, I think Bouchillon (SP?) Performance has a kickdown CABLE kit, about $100 US. Hope this helps.

Lokar makes a much less expensive kick down cable. I bought mine from Summit Racing.
