Curt typically runs a 377 cid stroker Chevy. He uses some good parts on it. I have recently built a 355 Super Stock engine based on one of his old blocks. It was a 383 setup, 400 crank in a 350 block. The pan rails were relieved for rod clearance.
Yes, he is quite fast. There are two or three just as fast every night at Dakota State Fair Speedway. He wasn't the track points champion in the mods last year either. There are three or four guys that race each other every night of the summer and they all were in the top ten of the national Wissota points last year. When I race, it is against the very best in Wissota. Hey J-body are you lost here? You should ask Peterson how he likes Mods. He has been introduced to the Gelling, Arment, Tesch, Johnson, Becket, Winters brigade in the mods this year. So far he hasn't been too close to the front. If he can learn to drive a mod, the late model will be a snap! |
