Anyone racing a dart swinger on circle tracks? I was curious how they would stack up to a duster or dart sport. Both in weight and handling. I think the wheelbase is 111" on the swinger, vs. only 108" on the duster. If one had a swinger close by cheap, would it run just as good?

There is not much difference in the Swinger and Duster bodies. The Swinger, which we run , is a little longer but most importantly it has a lower center of gravity, making it a little easier to handle. I know of several who have run Duster/Dart Sport bodies and never did get them to handle. This could have been from impatience or lack of funds, etc.Our swinger has been good so far but not great in the handling dept., we are learning there every week and finally think we have a handle on it. Good luck and keep the MOPAR out front. "MOPAR---THE HEARTBREAK OF THE HEARTBEAT"

Thanks for the info. Do you know what your swinger weighs? I have a 72 charger, 115 inch wheelbase, 3000 lbs without driver. I just bought it from a friend. It handled well in the class he was running, but he was a 5th place finisher most nights. I am moving the car down a class, which means a little less motor and smaller tires, but suspension can remain as is. The class has no weight restrictions, meaning I'm afraid the monte carlos and thunderbirds will be several hundred pounds lighter than me. Maybe the 360 will make up for it.

I run full NASCAR cage with 22 gallon fuel cell. My rules call for 3300 lbs and now weigh 3340 with 230 lb driver and 200 lb of ballast and 16 gal of fuel.Still have room to reduce weight but works well where it is, also run power steering which is heaver.
