NOSTALGIC DRAG RACE PARTY 2/5/00

I dont know if any one will read this that was there today but what a blast.
A friend of ours had a party at his restaurant today with the old filming edited over to vhs of racing from back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's from the local area race tracks. Thompson,Dragway 42(Grand Nationals), Akron Airport,etc. To see some of these guys today and remembering the good old days was a day to remember. film of Akron Arlen Vanke, Sox & Martin, Prudomme, Snow, and many others at the Grand Nationals at 42 and when it was a 4 lane track was just too much. So if any of you have old clips of your area drag racing history it is well worth the time to put it on to vhs and relive the good ole days or if you can find a group of people that have different clips and edited all together to have one enjoyable tape I feel it is well worht it. And to John Thank You for a most enjoyable Sunday Afternoon.

If anyone has old video, memorabilia, pictures, etc. from Dragway 42, the track will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2007 and would love to have access to anything that folks might have in their closet, attic, or shoebox.
