Question

...If anyone out there is running Drag Slicks without the tubes, did you see any improvement in E.T.?

Can`t say, i`ve always ran mine tubeless, I race one car on M/T 26x8.5x14 tubeless and the other on Goodyear 14x32x15 tubeless with no problems at all, if nothing else it saves paying $50 for tubes.

Ive always ran tubes in my Goodyear 32/14/15. There was a discussion on this on www.dragraceresults.com. Might want to check it out.

Good subject!! I've wondered about this for a long time.I use tubes(13x31 Firestone)but have been thinking about leaving them out for the new pair of tires.I posted a new topic about slicks and would like everyones input.

There was a discussion on this at moparts.com. You can run tubeless, it isnt a problem, but, you will give up some tire growth on the top end and may pick up a couple hundred to 400 rpm for the same mph.

Without the added mass of the tube inside the slick, it wont grow as much. You may pick up a little in reaction and 60', but, you may give up a little mph or gain too much rpm on top end if you are geared to low.
