Question

I just found a virgin '68 non-HP 440 motor to use as a core for my Charger buildup. Would it have LY rods (or equivalent)?

Both HP and non-HP 440 motors would have LY rods in 1968. HP motors didn't get different rods until 1970 or so. Virgin '68 motors are getting harder to find, sounds like your lucky day.

451Boy, thanks for the info. I paid $450 for it on the spot, and it supposedly needs bored, but I havn't had a chance to tear it down. All I really need is the block and crank.
